Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
AI Video Studio ("the app") is a personal tool that runs on its operator's own computer. It has no user accounts and no public users. This policy explains what data the app handles when its operator connects their own TikTok and YouTube accounts, and what it does with that data.
Data the app receives from TikTok
When the operator connects their TikTok account through TikTok Login Kit, the app requests these permissions:
- user.info.basic: the account's open_id, display name and avatar image link, used to show which account is connected.
- video.publish: to post a video the operator has approved, and to read the account's posting options (nickname, username, the privacy levels and interaction settings TikTok allows), which are shown before each post as TikTok requires.
- video.upload: to send a video to the account's TikTok inbox, for the operator to finish posting in the TikTok app.
The app also receives access and refresh tokens, and the status and id of each post it makes. It does not read the account's videos, followers, messages, comments or analytics.
Data the app receives from YouTube
When the operator connects a YouTube channel through Google's OAuth, the app receives access and refresh tokens and the channel's id, title and thumbnail, and uses them to upload the videos the operator has approved, to check their processing status and to set their thumbnails.
How it is stored and protected
- All data stays in a database on the operator's own computer. Nothing is stored on a server run for this app.
- Access and refresh tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are stored, and are never written to logs or shown in the app's interface.
- Account passwords are never seen or stored: sign-in happens on TikTok's and Google's own pages.
How it is used
TikTok and YouTube data is used only to show the connected account, to publish videos the operator has explicitly approved, and to report each post's status. It is not sold, shared, used for advertising or profiling, or combined with other data. It is not sent to any AI service.
Other services the app uses
To produce videos, the app sends story topics, scripts, image prompts and narration text (not TikTok or YouTube account data) to third-party AI services for research, writing, images, narration and music. Those services process that content under their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
- Disconnecting an account in the app revokes the app's access with the platform and deletes its stored tokens.
- Access can also be removed at any time in the TikTok app (Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions) or in the Google Account's third-party access settings.
- Records of published videos stay on the operator's computer until the operator deletes them.
Children
The app is not directed at children and is used only by its adult operator.
